Information and explanations about this product- Detailed Description
Welcome To TrackMaster MPH Pro
MPH Pro is the web-based software program based on Tom Brohamer's best-selling book, Modern Pace Handicapping, published in 1991 by William Morrow & Company and thought by many to be the premier book on pace handicapping. This program automates many tedious manual calculations and reports for evaluating pace that advanced players previously undertook by hand.
MPH Pro is one of the friendliest, and most accurate velocity pace handicapping programs you'll ever use. A race card contains all the information for one day's races at one track. Individual races on the card can be opened by either clicking on the specific row from the race list located on the initial opening screen or by choosing the race from the permanent menu located at the top of every screen. Once inside a race, the output tab contains the rankings, velocity and projections grids. The input tab can be used to change the computer selected running lines used to calculate the values displayed on the output tab.
The files are in a web page format easily viewed and/or printed from your desktop, laptop, tablet computer or other device. They are available for download 24 hours a day, often several days ahead of the races depending on the track schedule.
Special Features Of TrackMaster MPH Pro
When you download a race card for MPH Pro, the following categories of information are available to explore:
RACES & PPS
The race list contains full or condensed past performances and an overview of all the races on today's card. Download your past performances in pdf format at no extra charge from this section.
INPUT TAB
The input tab contains abbreviated information regarding each horse in a race. By clicking on the plus symbol in a horse row, a past performance section is revealed. The computer selected running lines will have a small x at the start of the row. You can change the representative pace lines, by selecting and de-selecting running lines to alter the results on the output tab.
OUTPUT TAB
The output tab contains the three display grids of Rankings, Velocity and Projections. The Rankings grid lists the top contenders in order of preference with an acceptable odds line for each contender. This is all the casual user needs to help make informed wagers on a race. The Velocity and Projections grids are for users that want even more depth of information regarding a race.

MPH Pro Review by Tom Brohamer
Want to know what the original author of "Modern Pace Handicapping" has to say?
I am absolutely “over the moon” with the release of MPH Pro, the web-based version of my MPH software. The original program, superbly written by Ken Massa, nicely incorporated all the features from my book but it was a DOS based software program and did not transfer well to the newer versions of the Windows operating system. The save-race and modeling capabilities, both major parts of the program, were lost to the user. It was also best used by manually imputing the pace line data, a clunky and time consuming task. Hence, no effective MPH program for more than fifteen years.
The folks at Trackmaster have given new life to MPH and all its features. And the good part is that MPH Pro is web-based and the basic input/output is virtually instantaneous. The pace line selection is automatic and quite effective and yet the user has the capability of changing lines and eliminating non-contenders. The modeling feature is calculated from like-races and is displayed along with three output screens showing ratings, fractional times, and feet-per-second fractions.
I know MPH Pro will be a great tool for handicappers of all skill levels. I have been using it regularly and I can tell you it is impressive in its ability to select price horses that may have been overlooked in a less-inclusive handicapping procedure. Ask me how I know this: as I’m writing this testimonial, a 22-1 winner just came home at in a race where he was 9/2 third choice on our betting line. Now a word to the wise: be careful in making changes to the pace line selection; the computer selected lines are where the high priced winners are found. And who couldn’t use an occasional 20-1 shot? Thank you Trackmaster!
